Thailand says it will hold fresh talks with Cambodia next week in a bid to solve a tense border standoff that's seen thousands of troops deployed on both sides.
The Thai Prime Minister, Samak Sundaravej, says he's spoken with his Cambodian counterpart, Hun Sen, and agreed that the two nations' foreign ministers will meet in the Cambodian city of Siem Reap on Monday.
Mr Samak says Hun Sen has also agreed to withdraw his government's request for the issue to be dealt with by the United Nations.
